Bang for Your Buck

If you are getting ready to sell your home, there are several things you can do to get the most from your money.  First impressions are often the most important factor in determining a potential buyer's interest in your home.  What will your home's first impression be for buyers?  Is the entrance inviting?  Could you plant some flowers to bring some spring color and interest to the entrance?  Even if you don't have a large outdoor space, consider some potted plants.  You can find inexpensive pots, flowers, and plants at your local nursery or home improvement store now.  A relatively small investment could bring you very positive results, and, ideally, more money for your home.

If you want to spruce up your home by investing a little more money, bathrooms and kitchens provide the biggest investment returns.  So how can you get more bang for your buck in your kitchen and bathroom?  Consider some organization containers, dividers, or baskets.  You can also add a fresh coat of paint, purchase some towels in a new color or style, or paint the dull cabinets a pleasing color.  Replacing the hardware on the cabinets is another relatively inexpensive update that can yield positive results.  Replacing a counter top with solid surfacing, while more money, could be more appealing to buyers and ultimately bring you a higher offer.

As you can see, you have many options for getting the most out of your home and getting the most bang for your buck when it's time to sell.  Good luck!
